This Privacy Policy describes how DL Technologies ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the World Atlas App mobile application (the "App"). The App displays advertisements to support its free availability. Most content is free; the last two monuments of each country can be revealed by watching a rewarded video ad, or all at once with a single one-time Full Access purchase, which also removes the ads. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.

#1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our App, we automatically collect certain information, including:

• Device Information: Device type and operating system
• Usage Data: Countries viewed, learning progress, session duration, frequency of use, and app interactions
• Technical Data: IP address, time zone settings, and general location data (country/city level)
• Advertising Data: Device advertising identifiers (such as Advertising ID) and information about ads viewed or interacted with, collected by our advertising partner for users who have not purchased Full Access

1.2 Information You Provide

We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the App. However, if you contact us for support, we may collect your email address and any information you choose to provide.

1.3 Purchase Information

The App offers a single one-time Full Access purchase that removes ads and unlocks every monument. Purchases are processed entirely by the Google Play Store; we do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive limited, non-financial information confirming that a purchase was completed, such as the purchase status and transaction date, in order to unlock Full Access on your device. Which monuments you have revealed with a rewarded ad is stored only on your device.

1.4 Maps, Web Content and Diagnostics

Notifications: if you allow notifications, the App schedules a local "Monument of the Day" reminder on your device. It is generated on your device; we do not run a push-notification server and do not receive your notification token. To show the monument photo, the App downloads it from our content server when the notification is prepared, which, like any download, reveals your IP address to that server. You can turn the reminder off in the App's Settings or in Android's notification settings.

Ratings: from time to time the App may ask you to rate it using Google Play's in-app review prompt. Google shows and handles that prompt under its own privacy policy; the App does not receive your rating or review text.

Maps: country screens use the Google Maps SDK to show a map. Google receives technical data such as your IP address and device information when a map is displayed, under Google's own privacy policy. The App does not use your precise location.

Web content: some screens open Google Images or YouTube search results inside the App. Those sites collect data under their own privacy policies.

Diagnostics: the App uses Google Firebase Analytics for usage statistics and Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports, which receive technical data such as device model, OS version, app version, a random installation identifier, and the details of a crash.

#2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the App and its educational content
• Track your learning progress and country exploration
• Recognize your Full Access purchase and the monuments you have revealed across the App
• Analyze usage patterns and optimize user experience
• Display and measure advertisements
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Comply with legal obligations

#3. Advertising

Ad formats: banner ads shown on screens of the App, full-screen ads that can appear at natural breaks (for example when leaving a section after a longer visit or a good result), native ads shown as a page or card between content, and, where an item is locked, an optional rewarded ad you choose to watch to unlock it. Full Access removes these ads.

Unless you have made the one-time Full Access purchase, the App displays a banner advertisement on the home country grid and the Discover list, and offers rewarded video advertisements, through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID, cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to serve ads, which may be personalized to your interests where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. Because the App is intended for users 13 and older, ads are not directed at children.

The last two monuments of each country are locked: you can reveal one for good by choosing to watch a short rewarded video ad (served by Google AdMob), or unlock all of them with the one-time Full Access purchase. A rewarded ad is shown only when you tap Watch Ad to Unlock. To make it start instantly, the App may load the next rewarded ad in advance while you browse. The monuments you have revealed are remembered on your device only.

Your Advertising Choices:

• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization or Delete Advertising ID
• Consent: where required (e.g., EEA, UK), you can manage your ad consent choices when prompted in the App
• Full Access: the one-time purchase removes all ads and unlocks every monument, after which no ad-related data is collected through the App

Opting out of personalization does not reduce the number of ads, only their relevance. See Google's Privacy Policy.

#4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information with:

• Advertising Partner: Google AdMob, to deliver and measure ads (unless you purchased Full Access)
• App Store Provider: Google processes your one-time Full Access purchase and provides us with confirmation that it was completed
• Service Providers: Third parties that perform services on our behalf (analytics, hosting, customer support)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

#5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. Usage data and purchase confirmation records are typically retained for up to 24 months unless a longer retention period is required by law.

#6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

#7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than Mozambique. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

#8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

• The right to access the information we hold about you
• The right to request correction of inaccurate information
• The right to request deletion of your information
• The right to object to or restrict certain processing

#9. Age Verification and Restriction

The World Atlas App is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we do not serve ads to users we know to be under 13. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will take immediate steps to terminate their access and delete any information collected. If you believe someone under 13 is using the App, please contact us immediately.

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

#11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
