Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how DL Technologies ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the ProFile mobile application (the "App"). ProFile helps you build a single professional profile and generate documents from it — including your CV/resume, cover letter, business card, email signature, digital signature, and short bio. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.
This App is intended for users 13 years of age and older. By using this App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.
To save your profile and sync it across your devices, you sign in using Google Sign-In or an email address and password (via Firebase Authentication). We receive your name, email address, and account identifier from the sign-in provider you choose.
ProFile is built around the professional information you enter yourself, which is used to generate your documents and is securely synced to our servers (Google Firebase/Firestore) so it stays available if you sign in on another device. This may include:
You control this data at all times and can edit or delete it from within the App.
The App lets you attach supporting files — such as certificates, ID copies, or portfolio samples — to keep everything in one place. These files, and the names you give them, are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. If you uninstall the App or switch devices, these files are not backed up and will not be available on the new device.
If you use your camera to scan a physical document, ID, or business card to prefill your profile, the App uses Google ML Kit to recognize text directly on your device. The photo itself is processed on-device and is not sent to our servers — only the text you review and choose to save becomes part of your profile data.
If you enable the optional app lock, authentication (fingerprint or face) is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We never receive, see, or store your biometric data.

ProFile offers optional AI features — profile optimization, AI-tailored cover letters, translating your profile into another language, and generating a short bio. When you use these features, the relevant text from your profile (such as your summary, job titles, or skills) is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the result.
What we don't send: we deliberately exclude your name, email, phone number, company/institution names, dates, and URLs from these requests wherever the feature doesn't need them — that information is filled back in locally from your existing profile rather than being sent to the AI provider.
Unless you've purchased Remove Ads, ProFile shows rewarded ads (for example, to unlock an export or an AI feature) through Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to collect device and usage information for ad personalization.

The App offers an optional "Remove Ads" purchase, processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card details — Google Play handles the transaction and shares only your purchase status with us so we can unlock the feature on your account.

When you use the App's "Send by Email" feature to send your CV or cover letter, the App opens your device's own email app with the documents attached — sent directly from your own email account. We do not see or store the content or recipients of these emails.
We retain your profile data for as long as your account exists, so your documents remain available across your devices. If you delete your account or request deletion, we delete your synced profile data from our servers. Locally stored Other Documents are removed when you delete them in the App or uninstall the App. Usage and advertising data are typically retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is required by law.

We implement reasonable security measures — including encrypted transmission and Firebase's access controls — to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than Mozambique, including where our service providers (such as Google Firebase and OpenAI) operate infrastructure. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

ProFile is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will take immediate steps to terminate their access and delete any information collected. If you believe someone under 13 is using the App, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
